They might be a whole lot more convincing if they didn't fly private jets to Washington to ask. Oh yeah, and maybe they shouldn't have salaries and compensation in the tens of millions of dollars.

Seriously? That makes me sick. That is just beyond words.
The private investor can bail them out. Buy up their plants for pennies on the dollar and sell the assets off. No need to get the government involved.
